Little update. I emailed the Sulcata ad about their husbandry. I got an email back thanking me for the info and saying they would make changes to how he's cared for! :) I love people who listen...

I'm afraid to email the box turtle person, though. I'll just get myself into trouble! Lol

Update, the sulcata ad has been deleted. Let's hope they really took your advice at least.
Hopefully the member looking for a boxie will get the two in the other ad.

Hadn't noticed that, thank you! I linked them to Tom's care sheet and told them about the forun, so hopefully if they decide to keep it they'll join. Or at least read Tom's caresheet and follow it!

I think the box turtle people meant the the habitat that their sulcatas are living in is not right for the box turtles that they wanted to cohabitate with them.

... which tells me they are keeping their sulcatas too dry...

If you look closely at the boxie add, looks like the bottom (outside the box they are kept in) had coconut husk substrate.

Hopefully he is raising his sulcata in a some what right direction.

Believe it or not - this guy contacted me and accepted my offer! I got them today and they aren't in too bad of shape - a little soft. They had a long soak and are now roaming my warm indoor boxie baby enclosure. Happy Day! :)
