I read somewhere a huge list of toxic and non-toxic foods for sulcata. It said they can have aloe, which i have plenty of.(my family lives for its many many benefits)

Have any of you tried this? I don't want to believe everything i read on search engines because so many are inaccurate.
Maybe i can find a sulcata handbook lol.(with pictures of good foods)

They can eat aloe. It can be a laxative if you feed too much, but its good as part of a varied diet.

Aloe vera plants are a favorite of many tortoises, but feed in moderation.

I just break pieces off, and throw them into the pen.

Always make sure what species, or hybrid, of aloe you are feeding. Aloe vera (aloe barbadensis) is ok but there are other species which are very toxic. Aloe saponaria and aloe ferox are both so toxic that their sap will irritate your skin.

I have given aloe to Bowser and she likes it. Not one of her favorites though, lol :p

I have an aloe plant in Frank's table, and sometimes he takes a bite of it but hardly ever. I use it more than him, but it is a nice addition to his habitat.

I grow it in their enclosures and sometimes come home to find it missing. Never been a problem and they seem to enjoy it : )
