It's probably still early to know but anyone want to guess male or female

The sully is just over 8" and 1600 grams

The leopard is 7" and 1000 grams

They're both still looking female (as most babies do)

Thanks, the leopard was incubated for female but I never trust that 100%

The leopard is probably female. Can you take a different picture so we can see the the supracaudal scute (the back end of the tortoise)?

Something like this:

I'd bet all my money on female.

Roughly guessing, but the tortoises in both our pictures are about the same size. If yours was male, I would expect the tale to be much large at that size, much like the one in my picture.

Well squints is almost 10 inches now, hopefully soon I will be able to determine male or female. Very small tail tucked in.ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1466214485.766522.jpg

I have a question! I have a Redfoot tortoise and have since February. She's the best thing added to our family. I want to fix up her indoor enclosure though. She always buries herself and will sleep under her bedding. She will walk around her tank or soak in her water and go under her hide for a minute but she will never sleep in her hide. She was loving it until she tried climbing it and after a week we added wood to make it taller so she couldn't climb it. She never did again but now she won't sleep under it. Help
