Buy a car battery lately?

Nooo. I'm not going to complain about the price of them. I bought a battery for my little car a few weeks ago because it had been in storage so it sulfate. No big deal...but it's a powerhog so 250 buys a battery w/ 5 yr warranty.

This week, '17 Expedition battery gave up the ghost....go to find a battery....WHOA....BRAND NEW WORLD in battery land!

They sell THREE MONTH BATTERIES for $90

$210 buys 3 yr now. $400 bucks for a 4yr and nothing available higher than that.

Where did the 5 and 7 yr batteries go?

Hmm. I'm only finding 3 year batteries for my truck now that you mention it.

I'm surprised your vehicle didn't spec the $400 main GEL battery....And also has the smaller battery in the trunk for the electronics. (That is strangely similar in price) both replaced with a jump pack plugged into your OBD to keep the computer from having a stroke.
Then both batteries need to be electronically "introduced" to the vehicle with a special programmer.

A battery that lasts 36 months is truly a senior battery.
