Hello. My name is Kenn and im from Denmark. Got 2 beautiful cherry's and I cant get food in them. Feeding them with mazurii pills but they wount take a bite. If I hand feed them i can get one of them to take a bite or 2, no more. And it will only take banana and mangos. Info about my setup.

Heatspot: 26 -28° C
Cold site: 19 - 22° C
Moister substrate and the torts get sprayed 2 times a day with water.

Tort 1: 50grams
Tort 2: 61grams

Plz help, they are my babies :)

Hi, I would bump up those temps a bit to above 22 all over. What substrate are you using? In terms of food try strawberries or mushrooms(the latter they never refuse). Do you bathe them?

That is wayyy to cold. The entire temperature over the enclosure should be a stable 28 celsius. No cold spot. A basking spot of 32-35 is appreciated. They will never eat in temperatures that cold. Get them warm a.s.a.p. Also, they should NOT be wet when they are that cold. Please get them warm quickly...

Yeah, I don't know about the care for your kind of torts, but temp's are one of the most important parts for make'n sure you have healthy torts. Also I would bath them everyday for 20-30 minutes and make sure you keep the bath temps at the proper temp using a thermometer. I hope they start eating and doing better very soon! Best of luck to you all!

I hear bananas are not good to feed but only as a treat if at all you can try putting some greens and hibiscus and dandelion in a food processor to cut it up smaller to make it easy to eat these foods are high in calcium for there soft shells and get them temps up asap then they should eat whatever you put in front of them you can check out www.redfoottortoise.com to they have a good list of plants to feed or check out tortoiseterry.com he has some good care tips

Keep them warm and humid as the others have said. Are you soaking your Mazuri in warm water and letting it sit for a few minutes? They like it better when they are soft. You can also add calcium powder to it.
What kind of UVB are they getting?

Thx for the tips. I will raise the temp fast as posible. For supstrate im using the coconut supstrate you mix with eater to get it to expand. Yes im socking the mazurii in water and i have both kalcium and vitimins powder to add. For uvb i got a 10% uvb light. And again thx alot for the tips.
