Thanks - I thought red-footed ones ate them, but wasn't sure. I seem to remember that when Zola was very small, we had him out on the grass with us, and he tried to have a bite at a slug (and luckily failed ! ) I think that was just youthful curiosity, though.

I'm sure they all eat some bugs when grazing but such small amounts wouldn't hurt them.
I've seen Lola with his nose close to the ground following an ant, but I think that was just curiosity rather than hunting. 😀 - the ant outran him anyway. 😂

We had a lovely sunny but very cold day here today. There was ice first thing which soon melted and it didn't snow so that was a relief, but there is a possibility we could have some overnight.... we'll see.
I hope you're all having a good weekend.

I almost forgot - Happy Valentine's Day to you all ❤️.
I hope those of you with husband's wives or partners have been treated to some romance today.

The postman really struggled with a sack of cards for me today 😂🤣

I did actually have a card delivered which I was quite surprised about, and wondered who would send me a Valentine card - turns out no one did - it was a very belated birthday card.😂

By reading your posts about your postage system, I am guessing you won't be expecting any valentines cards until summer!

Our Welsh version of St Valentine's Day is St Dwynwen's Day which falls on the 25th January. - easier for you to Google her story than for me to tell it. It's mainly celebrated in areas of Wales where Welsh is the first language.
I wonder if any other countries have an equivalent day? What about Finland @The_Four_Toed_Edward ?

Dear Lyn,

Did you get any snow? We've had a lot of rain but I don't how an Amazon got stuck in the tide on the beach.

Good evening everyone!

Try googling Amazon van stuck in sea. This happened in my hometown on MOD property because the driver followed his satnav.

We celebrate on Valentine's day, but it is called Friend's day in here. But nowadays it is also celebrated as couples like Valentine's. Finland is a Evangelical Lutheran country, so there is not much emphasis on saints. Only a couple dates related to saints are remembered, but not really celebrated.

I don't know why, but Father's day here is named similarly, like the day of the father (in singular). In contrast, Mothers day, the day of the mums, in here refers to multiple mums.

I appreciate that no one on here knows that this is Ministry Of Defence property but on days when the firing range wasn't in operation you could go and see the birds. Therefore we often came here to watch the birds but one day dad decided to wave at the soldiers as we were leaving and they raised a barrier for us😂😂😂

Friends Day is a good way to celebrate it. In grade school we gave our classmates cards and ate decorated sugar cookies. We even decorated special boxes to keep our cards in. It was just fun sharing.

Don't tell me that the mod uses Amazon too! Was it a self driving delivery truck 😵‍💫😉? like we have 🙃

Sapphire sniffs every thing he eats first. I'm pretty sure it's because he doesn't want to eat a bug. It can be a field of clover or dandelion and should be like a smorgasbord. He still checks it out first.

Dear Cathie,

I'm afraid this was definitely a man trying to an island on MOD land. I may be telling you a bit more later. London is getting to start having driverless taxis and I will certainly not be using these!
