Friends Day is a good way to celebrate it. In grade school we gave our classmates cards and ate decorated sugar cookies. We even decorated special boxes to keep our cards in. It was just fun sharing.
In elementary school we did something similar. Everyone crafted a letter box for themselves, and cards for their friends which then were distributed to these letter boxes. I still have some of the cards saved.

Dear Lyn,

Did you get any snow? We've had a lot of rain but I don't how an Amazon got stuck in the tide on the beach.

Natrah
No snow yet but it's still as possibility. Lots of rain still and very cold so weay have some.
What on earth was an Amazon van doing on the beach? Did his SAT NAV take him there? Mine often tries to take me to some funny places, but I think I'd realize a beach was a wrong turning 🤣

I appreciate that no one on here knows that this is Ministry Of Defence property but on days when the firing range wasn't in operation you could go and see the birds. Therefore we often came here to watch the birds but one day dad decided to wave at the soldiers as we were leaving and they raised a barrier for us😂😂😂

MAny years ago a colleague of mine and his wife were walking in a forest and she needed a wee. So she found what she thought was a hidden spot to relieve herself only to have several soldiers training in camouflage stand up and applaud her when she finished. How embarrassing is that,? ,🥴😀

Dear Cathie,

I'm afraid this was definitely a man trying to an island on MOD land. I may be telling you a bit more later. London is getting to start having driverless taxis and I will certainly not be using these!

Natrah
Nor me!

Oh that's so nice. Never get rid of them. You'll be glad you kept them.😊

New England Pancakes on Pancake Day: View attachment 398583
I didn't know it was also called pancake day! I had some pea soup and finnish style pancake, both traditional Shrove Tuesday foods in Finland. We often celebrate by sledding, but I didn't do that this year. I haven't had any Shrove Tuesday Cardamom bread buns (laskiaispulla) this year, they are filled with cream and jelly where I live, but in some places they use sort of almond paste.

I forgot it was pancake day today so didn't have any. Not that I make my own - I usually buy them ready-made and microwave them. They're ok with as little sugar and lemon but I have had occasions when I've overcooked them and ended up with something I could tile a roof with 😀. I miss my Mum's pancakes.
Have you had any pancake races or tossing the pancake competitions in your area today, Natrah?

According to Wikipedia: "In Finnish, lettu and pannukakku (literally "pancake") have different meanings, the latter having a structurally closer resemblance to a hotcake, and is baked in an oven instead of using a frying pan." The latter is what we eat on pancake day.
