Where do you get it from, Lyn ? I have been looking for it for ages for Zola.
Angie
I'm waiting for an order from the Tortoise Den at the moment. It was £9 ish for the pad and then postage on top - less than £15 though which is about average cost. I've not used these sellers before so can't comment on quality - hopefully they'll be good.

The Tortoise Hut is selling 'slices' at £1 though if you just wanted to see if your tort likes it. I would still slice slithers off that though.
The TH sellers are away this week so not shipping until next week.

Didn't we have a President who used to do that? LOL

I played superman Mon & Tues....today I'll throttle back a bit.

We had packed my Expedition with the boxes from my tool room at my house and brought them over on Sunday, along with the queen bed from my 3rd BR. I had also begun the wiring of 240V receptacles for my welder and large compressor but couldn't find the large wire nuts so I waited to bring the rest of the stuff over.

This is what 40 boxes from jeff's tool room look like;

20240219_084611.jpg

As of yesterday morning, there were only 13 that haven't been adjudicated. Each of the others was unpacked, Piece by Piece, the tools or equipment was cleaned and oiled and put it its' new location. 4 of the 40 boxes went out to the motorcycle shed since they were all bike parts. None of those parts will go in the garage except the chrome stuff will go in bins up on the wood shelves.

As of this morning, there is only one box left....I just ran out of gas yesterday.......and yes, I swear to God, it's the box holding the large wirenuts that I needed to complete the wiring for the shop equip! I KNEW they were going to be in that box since I hadn't seen then yet.....wow, really God? The VERY last box?
I think he does that stuff to me just to remind me of his presence in my life.

Bit by bit....
10 more days to our wedding.
Kerry contacted a local Baker girl for Specialty cupcakes.....40bucks for 12, she wants 3 doz. She orders a "sample set" of 3 small cakes for 35 bucks. The cakes are 5x7" tall each and are delicious. She ordered 4 sample sets last night and will place the 12 cute cakes around the floor of the place so folks can enjoy. She did pay a premium as the girl only sold sample sets as part of other sales so she added a fee to just order them....I had warned Kerry.

Kerry also wrote the Caterer girl to "ok" the final menu.

We bought the wine/beer/soda last week in Delaware...tax free. The venue hadn't completed their licensing.

I was going to bring my tux over but after packing the truck there was no more room, even to hang something! LOL

Enjoy the day guys.....

Hi Angie, I can definitely recommend buying opuntia from The Tortoise Den. I ordered it early yesterday morning and only paid standard delivery but it arrived about midday today. They sent a pad about a foot long and very fresh looking, Lola has already enjoyed several slithers and is looking for more!

Thank you very much for telling me about the two places - I thought maybe I should order from the Tortoise Hut first-just a couple of slices - Zola hasn't ever had it before, so I could just test it out before spending more on a whole pad. Though it seems universally popular among tortoises, so maybe I should follow your example! He is having his beak trimmed tomorrow, so he will deserve a reward after that.

At 3 weeks all 5 senses sould be working, his sight and hearing may not be 100% but he should be able to hear and see you, even if blurred somewhat. I see a beautiful future spoiled puppy that will love you more than himself.
I got to see him yesterday. He's so cute. I got to see him wag his tail. It was a happy tail wagging and the next thing he knew and I knew IMG_20240220_120635988.jpgit was going around in circles.😊 He's only 3 weeks 5 days old. He's kind to his litter mates even with his happiness and zest for life making him learn how to be a dog.🙃

It was a really nice spring March windy day today and it's February. Sapphire's outdoor enclosure actually warmed up to 73°f by afternoon. That's too cold for him to be out side yet but we're getting there quickly. And he knows it 😜

Lucky him and Lucky you. I have 5 dogs aged from 2 years to almost 15 years old. They take up a lot of my time daily because I cook their food everyday. But I love doing it. I'm going to loose Rocket my old buddy soon because his health is declining at a rapid rate. The worst thing is he has dementia, failing sight and hearing. He's still the alpha pup as far as the others are concerned and he is the smallest at less than 9 pounds. The others are 20 to 40 pounds.

Good morning/afternoon all,
We've had so much rain these last few days! It was torrential for a while during the night and still pouring down now. The flood defences are pretty good here, but I bet there's some areas under water now. It's been quite mild but the temps are dropping again over the weekend so wet and cold weather to look forward to. :(

It's my nephew's birthday today and I'm taking him out for a meal. I was hoping he would prefer to go this evening but he opted for lunch, so I'd better go and get myself organised.
Have a good Thursday and see you later.

Which one Ms Cathie, the little brown one or the little black one? Both ugly as heck but that's what makes them so darned cute. You saw both parents, right? LOL??

I got the garage done, mostly. My hands hurts too much to complete the wiring but I got the Welding recp wired and mounted. I have to power both receptacles with four lead power & the 50 amp breaker mounted at the top of the breaker box I bought a week or so ago.

The big part is done anyway. I loaded the boxes back into my truck...

WHEW!! They didn't even tip over!

My windows are being installed tomorrow morning at my house on the other side. I'll drive over the bridge this evening or at 4-5am. Seems likes its been an incredibly fast week. Tomorrow is Friday already! Kerry is picking up green peppers to go with the onions & sausage going on the grill. That's pretty rowdy food for me! LOL

I think I would like to cook Fre 's meals but give him a bit of kibble too. He's going to be about 5 1/2 lbs or so full grown. So I need to figure out how much food to give him soon. And what food. I'll get him sometime around late March. I really do like him. He's really smart. I've watched him be first at everything. But he's so kind and not aggressive at all. His first bark(I think) was so cute. It was just a happy little bark and then he realized he could. It's the same with his tail wagging. He just started wagging his tail and the next thing he knows it's going around in circles for the pure joy of being alive. He's really cute. I'm glad I picked him because now the rest are promised already.😊 and I got Fre.🤗🤗

Fre's the little brown boy. He's changing colors so fast. What I really love about him is he's so kind. He caught my eye. Your garage looks nice. Take it easy for a while if you can and enjoy your upcoming wedding pre stuff.😊 you know paarrtty time.🤗

He is beautiful and there's lots of puppy foods available which will tell you how much to feed.
When I was dog sitting for Alfie the Pom, I cooked more for him than I do for myself! My sister gives him things like fresh cooked chicken, sardines and she even wanted me to do scrambled egg for him! He has some kibble mixed in but he turns his nose up at tinned dog food. Very fussy pooch!

I've never known a small dog that likes dog food. They act like little prima donnas and the world is made to serve them just what they want when they want it 🤣

I'm happy for you and him, as what is good to feed him. Animal organs are the best source of nutrients. I buy chicken liver, hearts, and gizzards in bulk for my pups. You won't have to buy in bulk for Fre because of his small size. Some of the other things I feed are carrots, green beans, rice, chicken thighs and legs, ham, ground beef, Boston Butts, venison, bacon, beef, turkey and chicken hot dogs, plus a few other things. Another good thing when cooking for them is less poop in the yard. Which you won't have a problem with. But I have 5 dogs and 4 sulcatas.

Do you feed a kibble on the side? For a little bit of crunch. Briar the mom prefers soft food but my brother also gives her Purina dog chow. Right now while nursing she's getting puppy chow. With one small dog I can feed him the best for him if I know what that is. Maybe just cook and do the Purina puppy chow? I'm pretty sure that's what he'll be weaned to when I get him.
