Is it called tubing because they used to use the huge inner tubes of tyres to drag behind boats? I'm sure I've seen that somewhere.
Come to think of it we used to have an adventure park not to far away with a tubing ride but I think it was done on a huge slide rather than water.Tubing! Here’s what I think of tubing.

Thank you Ray and everyone for explaining tubing to me - it sounds like great fun. I had imagined people being in a rubber tube and flapping their bodies around to look like seals, or something similar! I've never seen anything like you describe here in the UK, but I probably just don't know where to look.
