Isn't phantom pain down the leg that you had? Past tenseI did a heavy shock treatment with my TENS unit. Just about got it under control. Going to do a heat pad and the unit again.
Darn Lions, injuries on their defense didn’t help.
They had all the ceremony inside the first time in 40 years because of the cold. I didn't watch it but I never do anyway. I'm glad we have another president elected by US. I wish him well and that he does what's right for US. I have to live hereGood evening everyone,
I'm just wondering if our friends over the pond are looking forward to the inauguration tomorrow. BBC news shows a lot of snow in Washington.

I guess that stuff helps some but from my observations, it's just another soul-stealing med. Folks get real docile & you can convince them of anything but the life fades from their eyes with the anxiety/head meds. It's sad to me b/c as a Dr friend once told me....head-meds and the ilk are more addictive than fentanyl in the patients minds! She said users are terrified to come off them and that makes them patients-for-life....prob for some now, especially I guess.Klonopin. I'm not sure of the spelling.
She didn't like the idea. But she understood I was trying to get some relief. It was quite a ordeal getting out of the tub.Wow I'm so sorryI hope you're getting a reprieve from all that.
But sorry you gave me visions of you splashing around getting out of the tub. What did Rose say and do? Oh my garsh

Wasn't thrilled reading that Notre Dame fell in the College football championship against that team South of Ann Arbor.....the what's-their-names?
OK, begrudging congrats to the Buckeyes(i think I just threw up a little in my mouth)!
LOL
Chilly this morning....9F and dropping
I have tried Klonopin but didn't like the way it made me feel. I do use xanax but only when I get at my wits end. It makes me feel like a zombie. I don't have any ambition. If I take them at night. In the morning my head is foggy.Isn't phantom pain down the leg that you had? Past tenseIt seems like they could come up with something that would tell the brain to just calm down. I'm pretty sure that's where the pain is coming from. I've actually read that that is what happens with paraplegics. The brain sends a signal and it comes back saying somethings wrong. Paraplegics can't feel the pain but they become really agitated. They are in their type of pain. I have a friend I've watched go through that many times. What somewhat helps him is Klonopin. I'm not sure of the spelling. Sorry you keep having to go through this.
Did you ever try the mirror trick that we posted a while back? She didn't like the idea. But she understood I was trying to get some relief. It was quite a ordeal getting out of the tub.![]()
I have a mirror for my arm. I really haven't used it much. I guess I could get a mirror the size that you can hang on a door. To use for my leg.Did you ever try the mirror trick that we posted a while back?
- How it works:
The patient positions the mirror so that their intact limb is visible in the reflection while the amputated limb is hidden behind it. They then perform movements with the intact limb, watching the reflection as if it were the missing limb.
- Benefits:
By creating a visual illusion of movement in the phantom limb, mirror therapy can help to reduce phantom pain and improve the patient's perception of their body image.
I remember that conversation.Did you ever try the mirror trick that we posted a while back?

I used tramadol for the first time when I was having the problem with pinched nerves in my back. It really didn't get rid of the pain completely but it did relieve the anxiety. The drawback was like you said. I lost all track of time and still can't believe the things I forgot to do. It's taken a while for me to catch up with my paperwork for Joe because of it.I have tried Klonopin but didn't like the way it made me feel. I do use xanax but only when I get at my wits end. I've been wanting to try some scones again. I still have Joe's mums recipe. YumCherry Scone after the dentist View attachment 386011
And well... you know how nervous nerve pain can be. I'm trying my best to do a spanx girdle instead and it's actually kinda working. I'm still trying to figure out how I an 80lb. woman has to have an extra large and it still feels like I'm being squished to death though. How do the actual ladies that actually wear an XL even get themselves into one! I love my Buckeyes but I'm getting sick of them interrupting my favorite TV programs just to brag about it. Id rather watch Lucky Dog or Kelly and Mark anyday.I guess that stuff helps some but from my observations, it's just another soul-stealing med. Have you ever looked into herbs? I got to thinking about hops and whether or not it can just be used as an herb instead of my favorite beer. And it's surprising how good of an herb it really is for anxiety and such stuff. Relieving anxiety actually helps with pain at least that's what I've found over the years of living with it. I know you quit drinking but hops the herb itself combined with your other therapys could possibly enhance each other. I've found with herbs that you really don't get the hangover feeling you get from pharmaceuticals . It only took me a few minutes of checking hops out to find sources for it in sleep aids and other types of herbal supplements using it. Maybe your doctors could find one that's right for you. Or just an herbal tea. My little search was really interesting.I have tried Klonopin but didn't like the way it made me feel. I do use xanax but only when I get at my wits end. That's interesting to know Cathie but I can't help smiling about your post, and knowing Ray's sense of humour I think he will too. It just seems kind of funny asking a man with one leg to try hops.Have you ever looked into herbs?
