Right before I logged in to TFO. I was curled up in a ball. Trying to deal with this pain. I have turned into a punk. I have been in bar fights worse than my leg situation. And never missed a day of work.
I haven't received any text from you.
You're not a punk at all. You keep trying. God bless you 🙏 I hope you get some relief. And Rose too 🙏

I went to my orthopedic doctor for injections in my knee. My sugar was up, so he didn't want to give me a steroid. In the near future I will get injections that put a cushion between the joints. Have to wait for health insurance ok. He looked at the x-ray that the hospital took of my leg. From the hammer incident and decided to order more. Since the hospital only took a front view x-ray. It hurts like hell to step on it. So between the leg pain, knee pain and all my other pains including phantom pains. I am a hot mess. When pain meds no longer work. I keep telling myself this to shall pass. Plus I have quit chewing tobacco for 2 weeks. Think I might start up again until I get this pain under control. Thank goodness Rose has been taking care of the tortoises. I get out to see them in the evening. When the temperature outside lowers.
Ok thanks for listening. You know what they say. A problem shared is a problem half solved.
Poor Opo is so aggravated because he can't get to Ms.Sully. So I fed him some strawberries.

I hadn't read this one yet. Opo looks like he gave Ms Sully wearing bright red lipstick a big fat kiss 👄 sorry your leg is doing so bad though. I was hoping they actually got it right for once.

This is "turtle rock" here at the home known as "Bonnycliff". See it however you choose.

Wanna see something cool? The woman we are staying makes rugs, by hand. I will post a video after we get home. These are 89 year old hands making a woolen rug.

What a neat old lady!
I love that and it's a fun craft I've done myself. I made mine from old thrift store coats. Braided rugs cool.

Is that how the song came about?

My Bonny lies over the ocean.
My Bonny lies over the sea.
My Bonny lies over the ocean.
So bring back my Bonny to me.
Chorus:
Bring back
Bring back
Bring back my Bonny to me to me
Repeat

Today I had to stop following doctors orders and stop taking the nasal spray I was prescribed from my ENT. I tried to tell him I can't really do corticosteroids and I know he was trying to help me but... When the whole room is spinning around and I'm not even standing up I knew something was screwy. Sure enough I'm no longer dizzy although I do admit I'm a dizzy ash blonde 😉🐢🐢 I have a very important vet visit on Monday for Sapphire and Razberri and I have to be able to walk and drive. I'm glad I was able to figure out that it was just another drug sensitivity in time to get there. Sapphire needs a beak trim and Razberri needs her nails done and a dental check. Since she's a crazy rabbit that's too lazy to chew the furniture and stuff. Hopefully the new Timothy Hay cubes I found are doing the job of wearing down her teeth. Her 9th birthday is coming quickly. It's October 31st.

I am having a moment of clarity with only half the pain. But I haven't stepped on my leg all day. I used a slide board to transfer to my chair. Back to the beginnings after my vehicle accident. Thank goodness that my power wheelchair. Has the option that lifts the footrest up and out. So I can keep the leg elevated. I still think there is something wrong with the bone. The hematoma has little pain. It is the bone that hurts when I step on it. I am still trying to tell myself. I never missed a day of work. When I broke a bone. But I guess you don't have as high of a threshold for pain as you get older.

You probably bruised the bone and that hurts a lot. I'm glad it's feeling a bit better with rest. That's probably what you need. Easy to say but hard to do.😊

We've had an exciting day in my town. The Tour of Britain bike race swept through this afternoon on the last day of the race. The roads were closed just before they arrived and my goodness they speed of them was incredible. The route took them through the Welsh valleys which are very hilly. As soon as they'd gone through I watched the live coverage on TV and there was one hairy moment when a farmer on the top of the first mountain they tackled brought them all to a standstill when he crossed the road with his herd of cows!! Very bad timing on his part.

Last night I woke up and was so dizzy the room was spinning around even sitting down. I had to crawl to the bathroom. Today has been better and I'm sure now it was the nasal spray. I even thought about calling a squad or my sister in law but decided to wait it out. I'm glad I did. I even got my weekly grocery shopping done but I did have someone else drive me. Tomorrow I think I'll be able to drive Razberri and Sapphire to the vet by the way I feel now. This will be the first time I get to meet Sapphire 's vet. I got his last beak trim done during the pandemic and lockdown. I'm excited 😊 maybe now I'll be able to get it totally straightened up with a few visits.

Happy birthday MS Cathie!

Ray....you keep at it....its just a thing. You humble me with your attitude.

We came up the Maine coast today. We took the long route and you wouldn't believe how many islands there are here!

Anyway, prepare for a laugh at my expense. For the past several days we stayed at a home where you didn't flush for #1. Got it? Remember it as the story progresses.

Today we left New Harbor and drove North to Bar Harbor. It was raining since yesterday afternoon and chilly so it was a good travel day. It's 140 miles or so but we took the coastal route so it took twice as long to get to our hotel. We arrive and it's nice and our room has a private patio with a 10' fence. We get into the room and plop our stuff down. I tell Kerry that I'm going out on the patio to burn one and she went to the bathroom.
I go out to do my thing and i close the door so the smoke doesn't get inside.i go do my thin in the drizzle...and of course....the door is locked when I try to get back in. I pound on the door but the football game is on TV and Kerry is in the bathroom with a nice strong fan on. She can't hear me and let's not forget....this was a 6 HR trip...
..OMG it was wet, cold and I just began laughing. Partly because of what I'd just done I'm sure but it all honesty the 10 minute wait in the cold straightened me out pretty quickly. The stupid stuff I do. LOL
Here's why they call this Hotel the Balance Rock Inn

This place is really cool. Kerry found us a gem!

If it happens again make sure you see your doctor Cathie. It could be the shingles in your ear is affecting you, but unexplained dizziness can also be a little known sign of a stroke (especially if accompanied by headaches which hopefully you don't have). You don't have to have all the common better known symptoms. I just watched that on TV this morning - I wouldn't have associated it with a stroke before.
Better safe than sorry.

Good morning/afternoon all.
Alfie arrived late last night and soon settled in - he's used to being with me. He's not at all interested in Lola, but I wouldn't trust him or any dog around torts.
We've been out for a walk this morning and he's now snoring away, having worn himself out chasing his ball.
When we got back home I realized I'd lost my keys, so had to retrace my steps. Not easy, as we'd walked all over a newly mown playing field. Luckily I spotted some poop bags that must have fallen out of my pocket at the same time, and
after a detailed search in that area I found them. 🙏
I didn't think I'd see them again and was planning how I was going to have to climb in through a window but thankfully I was saved that indignation.😄.
I hope everyone has a good day. TTFN
