We're in the mid 40s at the moment but the forecast is for much colder weather by next weekend and possibly some snow., so maybe after it's finished with Jeff's area it will make its way across the pond.

Wonder what caused the ad intrusion? I don't get ads on this site... Maybe reach out to one of our super mods? I don't think I'm a paying member....or if i am im not sure im getting my monies worth but I digress....just not sure that being a paid member is the fix.
Good luck and if you stopped surfing porn, you wouldn't be seeing those ads. Not that i would know of course, just a guess. LOL
Hopefully this is the low temp today!
I went out yesterday to empty my remaining gas into the generator. Filled it to the brim. Should run for 8 hrs before I need more. It made me sleep better.
I put out coffee cans full of sunflower seeds and a bird seed mix. Instead of throwing it on the ice where it would blow away I spread it in a vortex area behind the new porch protected from the winds. We had everyone hanging out eating. I use a 3lb can....and they got 1 of each type. They got a lot of food cause they need it in these temps. This morning at 5am I heard 2 owls! First time in a long time that i heard 2 of them stepping on eachothers calls!

Well, I already am a "Member" Have been for 5 years. But the ad's were prolific and quite large . . yesterday afternoon. and they were here on CDR.
Today . . . they are absent, (Insert a BIG Yay!) They were ads for textiles and clothes (ones I barely remember) and were quite intrusive . . .hoping it was just a "glitch" in the matrix.
Please understand Natrah , Jeff, I DO LOVE to hear of all your exploits, and the antics our kids do....

Well, If your not a paying member, you get ad's, or if you do not "login", you will see ads, but typically they are small ad's to the side bar.
These were large ad's in between each post, and additionally in the side bar.
And BTY . . . . THOSE days are LONG over....many moons ago.

It's early evening here and I am travelling back to my university city after a nice winter camp where I worked as a cook. It was a part of a scouts training course here, a sort of group leader course (I don't know the terminology used in English speaking scouts). I had two young kids helping me in the kitchen and over all it was pretty nice and the weather was beautiful.

I had intrusive ads like this some time ago, so I treated myself to Platinum Membership,and everything is fine.It isn't very expensive, and quite honestly the forum deserves to get some money coming in, for all the work of running it. I don't have anything to do with facebook or any other communications online,but it's wonderful to feel I have friends here, on this forum and I appreciate it so much.

You need to get Tortoise Club member up there and then they should disappear
I was going to become a member to support TFO and intended to look into how to pay from UK but didn't get around to it. Was it easy enough to pay Natrah?
That used to happen to me when I used my laptop to sign in but while I do still get ads between posts it doesn't block anything from view now I use my phone.
