So as many of you know Jasper went to the vets on thurs and got diagnosed with respiritory infection!
Today, we went again to see the vet at the same surgery, but it was a different vetenerian this time!
I asked if he could check him over to see what he thought was wrong becuase jasper is ok in himself he just cant breath! So i just wanted to make sure 1st vet got it wrong (second opinion kinda thing)
The vet today said its sounds a little like respiritory problems with sneezing and runny eyes, but I mentioned coughing! They vet said cats dont cough.. well they do but not alot!!
The vet has put jasper on a 10 day tablet of aniti biotics and gave him some powder to make his mucus (snot) thinner! He says if he doesnt look better in 5 days to book another appointment, but if he is beginning to be ok book it for after the 10 day antibiotics!!
If jasper does not get better, the vet said he will have to knock him out..yes he said that (put him to sleep) and have a look down his throat, becuase the coughing sounds like he has something stuck in it, he has a look and feel but nothing, so we will wait and see!!
We have planted a cat nip plant and the leaves r missing... i mentioned this he said its unlikly to harm him but he may have one stuck.
I got from the vet also... his temp was just over 40 and is now 38ish so not come down alot in 4 days :/
The 2nd vet examined jasper alot better then the 1st one and i feel alot more better about things, he was really nice..even though jasper scratched him when he was putting a tablet down his throat
Im on holiday on 13th july til 2oth so i will keep in touch with you all but it may be a while!!
