The motion sensor is placed up too high for my tortoise to set it off, but perfect for cats, who seem to be scared to death of the noise. They shoot out of there like they are fired from a cannon! I haven't seen any cats come around in a few weeks. Once it gets cool at night, they may try again....This time for the warmth. We'll see. The heating fixture is set for 12 hours 7 pm to 7 am. There is a single 75 watt black heat bulb. The reflector is rated at 150 watts. It is about 10-11" inches from the hay. There are provisions for more lighting and different ideas....
