First Hatchling at 96 days

I was surprised to see a pip last night on one egg I thought was bad. I figured the egg had cracked on its own but when I looked more closely, I saw the broken piece move. My first hatchling! The little guy was busy overnight because he broke out even more. I expect to see him out by this evening at this pace. Woohoo!

Thanks man, I haven't heard much from you lately. Hope you are doing well. The egg thing just kinda exploded on me recently (about 97 days ago really). I have 29 of them in the incubator now and this was the first one to hatch. Gonna be an exciting summer.

I thought I was looking at his head under the shell, but it turns out to be a cute little rear end... It is simply amazing how small it is. I can't wait to get a picture of him next to his daddy.

Well look at you! That's really awesome man, i'm sure it's gonna be a lot of fun!

I'm doing pretty good. I think I told you this but I don't live in Seabrook anymore, i'm back in San Antonio. Last few days i've been working on a big enclosure in my backyard, hopefully it will be done soon.

Well he's finally out and about now. Poor guy's yolk sac was dried to the shell and he couldn't get out so I soaked him until it came off and now he's non-stop running around, but mostly in circles because he has to balance on the pea-sized yolk sac. His shell is slightly flattened on one side, which I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but he's absolutely adorable!
