If a one month old tortoise flips on its back and can't get turned back over how long does it take to kill it. I have a couple one month old sulcatas and I have found one on its back and I'm worried if I'm not at home when it happens they could die.

If it happens under the heat lamp or in the water dish, it is especially dangerous. Try to remove whatever he is flipping on.

I was just wondering if being on their back in general is dangerous. They climb on each other and fall over. As long as its not in the water or where they could overheat how long can they last?

It isn't healthy for them to be on their backs. So if you constantly find them on their backs I would look into what's flipping them. If it's each other it might be aggression.
