Who wants to hazard a guess? I'm thinking female. Squirt is at least 4 years old per her original owner. 7in shell, 2.5lbs. Flat plastron. Ugly little bug eyed tort.

I was thinking this is a very immature male.
I know the tail looks small but it is the shape of a males. The concave plastron wouldn't be there at that size anyway and the anal scutes seem to be opening very wide.

Guys.....my 2nd smallest tortoise just decided to show me his manhood. I'm not amused. He and his brother were given to me as incubated females. Crap. Now we have a 1:1 ratio in the herd. If you suggest more females I have a feeling my boyfriend will find you and break your fingers so you can't type such suggestions to me again.

Ours usually melts in a day. We are in a well protected valley that doesn't see much fun weather. Just bring a CONFIRMED female RF and I'll welcome you into the house. I'm making lasagna.
