" Pritchard reports that the largest red-footed tortoise on record is 17.75" long. Its shell is in the American Museum of Natural History"

.....oppss...after re-reading my post I left out the word..."Brazilin" aka Cherryhead...

Please note Allegraf ...was correct in citing the largest ..Reds ... I sorta got off track with the Brazilins ...and some large animals within my group of Cherryheads which you tend to read as "dwarfs".
In-fact.....
Bolivian Giant Red-Foot Tortoise
These are the largest of the Red-Foots and can get over 18" long and weigh over 45 pounds

Sorry for screwing up the thread ....o_O

The weather is ok. I should have those photos later. I hope you can scale the size from a photo. Maybe I can get my foot into the photos for comparison?( I wear a size 14 shoe.)
These simply must be the giants.
There are usually eggs scattered around too.
I'll be back later.

Giant photos. These are all at least 21 or 22 inches long.

I got a picture with a measuring tape. She is 19" and the male 15". I do think the biggest one on record is 22 or 23"

I can't climb in and mess around with them. But they are clearly much, much larger than my 15" male. When they walk by and bump into the fence posts, the whole ground vibrates.
Thanks for showing another that is 19".
So. These ARE Bolivian giants?

@Rutibegga Age is unknown, pretty old I would guess. Judging by the growth of the carapace I would say she has been in captivity for some time. I received her from a friend I have had her with me for a short time now.

@ZEROPILOT yes, if you can I would be interested in seeing some large Bolivians. I really like the Bolivians but have never had one.

I was asking if the ones in my photos were Bolivian.

I don't look like it, if you can get a good plastron picture with some measurements that would be helpful. To me they look like Northerns.
