I have a 2 year old Greek tortoise named George and all he has been doing for the past two days is eat and sleep. What does this mean?

If we could see a pict of the tort and its enclosure might help . Rather then a ton of blind guesses .

Hello and Welcome. Without much more info, temps, lighting and heating your using, how often do you soak, humidity, diet etc, we would only be taking guesses.

He was a relatively small enclosure of 2x1.5 and I'm about to build an outdoor enclosure. He is fed mixed vegetables and kale which he likes. Does this help? Oh and I do not keep track of the temp. And I'm newbie owner and what does soaking really mean?

Temps plays a big role in a tortoise activity levels. Soaking is putting them in a dish of water so thet can drink

It may mean that you are feeding him something he finds terribly attractive, but it's the wrong thing & hard to digest, so he conks out afterwards. When you say vegetables, do you mean broad leafy greens, which are good, or other types of vegetables?

What's the towel?

Please post a picture of his habitat. Everything may be fine, including his behavior, or there may be suggestions we can make.

I've been feeding him kale but also green beans and corn because he seems to like that. ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1438617876.300236.jpg

Corn and beans don't belong in his diet, even though he likes it. He needs a varied diet of broad leafy greens, weeds & flowers. Kale is good, but not as the only green.

My tortoise does not like the grassland tortoise diet. I bought it when I first got him and he hates it. Should I try mazuri?

Yes many times. I soaked him for 15 minutes today and he pooped three times. Is that okay?
