Today i went into a pet shop and i saw that they were selling a hingeback, it was around 6 inches, may be slightly bigger and it was only 89 euros, i am not sure what that is in dollars but i thought that seemed extremely cheap, are they usually around this price? The tort was absolutely gorgeous i so wanted to bring it home!

It would depend on the species Paige whether that was a cheap price or not.

I paid $20 for my cheapest and $65 USD for my most expensive Home's. Home's especially are not expensive tortoises.

That comes to about $112 here (USA). Like Danny said, which type are you talking? I really have no idea how much they go for over there. I know here a Bells hingeback has more value, because we can't import them because of ticks, but you have different rules over there. This would be a really interesting question to know the answer for.
