Update on this -

http://www.tortoiseforum.org/Thread-CLUELESS-still

Per the suggestions of Danny.. and recently successful hatching by Benjamin ( K. homeana ) - a few weeks ago I re-vamped their enclosure. The males are in a smaller area of the table alone. And the females are 2 each in their individual area as well.

The first week or so the boys didn't like being in the smaller area without the girls and were pushin' each other around some.. but they seem to be used to it by now.

In fact the same night I spoke with Ben.. when I went out to 'kiss- everybody-goodnight'.. I found another egg in their hide - not even buried! It couldn't have been there more than just a few hours.

I had another single egg from awhile back [ doesn't look fertile ] so I fired up an incubator I wasn't using and put a big pyrex loaf cake pan half-full of leaf litter and let it work up to temps overnight and then placed them both in almost completely buried. I spray it down at least every other night enough so that moisture shows around the incubator windows at about 84-85F. I haven't tried to candle the new egg yet but I will tomorrow and post the findings then.

Will also get pics ASAP.

HERE WE GO AGAIN.........................

Good luck. From what I understand from most hingeback breeders, is that usually single laid eggs are infertile. :([/php]
