How do you set CHE lighting for small enclosure?

Halogens lamps should not be used over tortoises. That will cause pyramiding. You need a regular incandescent flood bulb. What size and species of tortoise are we talking about?
CHE do not emit light. Only heat. That is why they are good for night time.

Yes I’m aware of the working dynamics of ceramic heat elements. My issue is getting it set to come on. What temperature range do I set the thermostat for!
For a sulcata, the temperature should never drop below 80 day or night. So the coldest part of the enclosure, farthest from the CHE needs to be 80 at a minimum.

You want to make sure no part of your enclosure is below 80f day or night, I’d set it around 82 and place the probe in a corner furthest from the ceramics.
Also second toms comment on no halogen bulbs!
