How hot is too hot?

I don't know what is too hot, but I wouldn't let it go over 110. I personally try too keep my around 95-100. That's just me.

If the basking temp is too hot, they will just stay out from under the bulb. They will tend to hang around the margins of the bulb. The real problem is the desiccation your tortoise will experience if the basking temp is too hot.

To change your basking temp use a different wattage bulb, or raise or lower the fixture.

The housing is a modified glass front tv stand and stays around 80% humidity. I'm running a 125w MVB and the basking zone under the light is around 108f and sometimes will reach 112f. I just want to make sure the little guys not gonna burn up when he stays directly under it.

I would raise the fixture a bit. It doesn't need to be that warm and its going to dry out his carapace and contribute to pyramiding.
