I have from time to time transplanted plants that have grown under my wifes bird feeder into my garden and I recently planted what I was sure was corn. However, now that it has grown, it looks like Millet bunches. Millet is also in the seed. But I'm no farmer.Anyone? And if it's millet, would my torts be able to eat the leaves?

And it really takes hold and creeps to surrounding areas..sneaky invasive..
THANKS. It does grow easily. Or I would have killed it like most of my "crops".
Do you guys know if it's safe to feed her birds the fresh, green seeds? Or if they need to be dried?

I have a guinea bird here that will come up and eat the seeds straight from the plant..and he has laid claim to our home for over 10 years..so seems ok. However, he is essentially wild/free so I don't know about a captive bird..
