    I personally really wouldn’t leave them together. They’re currently in an enclosure too small for one, and no quarantine period was taken before adding the female. They could very well get sick from each other, and Russians are very well known for being scrappy. Even then, your tortoises might have looked fine, but I bet there was mental bullying going on that wasn’t visible.

    The enclosure is too small for one; that says it all.

    Build a larger home for your existing tortoise; return the other or rehome it.
