I would love to see some of you guy's cars or bikes too. Mine now and for the last ten years is just a very ordinary, modest, battered little Mazda Demio. But I hope he doesn't see this post, because he's sure to break down again with me tomorrow. Sigh.
You simply cannot let your car know how you feel...it might depress him...

Here are a few I shouldn't have sold.......

The Fairlane had a 427 which was bored and stroked to 492 ci. It had 690 hp on the engine dyno and ran in the high 10's at the drag strip. AND it could be street driven daily if you liked 4-6 mpg with premium gas or VP racing fuel.

The 1995 Corvette is a ZR1 (only 448 made) and the 1965 Corvette behind it is a very rare 396 (first year of the big block Sting Rays when only 2157 examples were made).

That's my son in the Li'l Red Express in 2000. He's now 35 years old.

I'm digging that my wife's ecoboost Mustang is working out as a tortoise and husband hauler. With the back seats always down it feels like my corvettes of old.

We're going to have to move this party to the SUV's soon.

You are not mistaken..for those who don't know...I blew up an LT1...with all kinda speed equipment...Now I have a stock 350 fresh outta the crate...
"I blew up an LT1...with all kinda speed equipment"

I had a built, stroked 383 1995 trans am with heads, cam, internals and a twin turbo approaching 800whp.... yeah. Until I left with 2 kids in the back to go to the store and lost the oil pump. Piston rod broke and whipped around taking out the rack and pinion, pan of course, etc. It thrashed everything.

It was silver and had Corvette Wheels. Put a new crate engine in it and sold it in Seattle when I was using it for a commuter and it was costing me $300-400 per week to sit in traffic. LOL

I'll tell you guys what, I'd buy that manual trans ecoboost every day of the week and twice on the weekend. Really good car, or maybe I just got a good one for Kathleen. Bought a left over 2022 car after the 2023's were out for $26,500. I mean, a f'n KIA will cost you over 30k.

All the nannies, 30mpg+ when you're not acting a fool, very light front end, quicker off the line and to 80-90mph than a GT. (1st gear to 30, 2nd to 60, 3rd to 90 all day long) GT's need some distance before they take off... for me it's the perfect balance of power and weight at about 350 hp and 350torque with bolt-ons. I mean, it's only about 1 second off the GT on a track STOCK it's so good. Chassis is right.

Ferrari is weird because you're so far forward that you feel all the turns, Corvette and Viper is good because you're sitting on the rear wheels but if you do something stupid you're headed to a ditch.

Kathleens Lincoln Continental is business-(wo)man smooth. We love that ride.

Like I said, these days I put it in perspective. I'm selling the bike because I always need to choose the safest mode of transport... I absolutely love the tractor, my lawn Lincoln and my ultimate retirement ride will be a straight piped, extra loud T-Bucket with an engine as tall as me just for the grandkids to ride around in.

You're never going to get a car doing what dragsters do, 0-340 in less than 4 seconds. I don't even want to do that type of thing any more. I've pushed my luck with outrunning my guardian angels.
