There are heat sources you can use at night, ceramic heat emitter, black bulb for heat at night, heat ropes.... a variety :D

Yes. Tortoises need a day/night cycle.

I bought a surge protector that can be programmed to turn off. I give him 12 hours of light from 7:30am to 7:30pm. I also bought a ceramic heat emitter that I've used only twice on cold nights. I've had him for almost a month now but he goes to sleep when the lights go off and is awake when they go on. I figured 7:30 is a good time because I can monitor his temps at night before I turn in and make sure he's not too cold.

This is the power strip I bought. Pretty easy to use.

If I purchased just these for the lighting .. is it okay for my baby Sulcata? The first item is a "BIOTERIUM Reptile Heat Lamp Bulb | Full Spectrum Beam Basking Bulb with UVA + UVB Light | Terrarium 75 Watt Basking Bulb". Are those enough? Or do I need to add something else?
