Looking for Hermanns in SoCal

Hoping to buy or adopt some Hermann’s tortoises in Southern California.

I don't know of anyone in SoCal breeding these. Try checking with your local CTTC to see if they have any nearby members with hermanni. I also found some on craigslist years ago, so I know they are around. Our climate is excellent for them too.

Thanks Tom. You were a wealth of info when I was looking for them 6 months ago. I followed all your advice and have an enclosure ready. I paused my search over winter but now that spring is here, I still can’t find any. I would also think there would be a ton of Hermann’s breeders here in Cali but it seems to be dominated by sulcata and leopard torts. I’ll keep looking..thx
