There is a Sulcata in the city of Pedley in Riverside County who is deformed (he was stepped on as a hatchling) and terribly pyramided. It is feared that if he doesn't get decent care now he will die. The owner has agreed to give him up so I need to know if there is anybody close to this guy who can get him and care for him and make him a better life.
This is from the person who discovered this guy and is trying to help him only she already has 2 males and cannot take another...
He has a very mishapen shell (she says her son stepped on him when the tort was little and his shell squished) and he is very very lumpy. I felt him and his shell is hard now. His back legs look as if they are swollen at the top, like he can't pull them into the shell, but when he does pull them in, they go in just fine. (hard to explain)
She also states that he doesn't eat well at all, and when she gives him fruit, he doesn't eat it all. (one mistake)
She doesn't feel that she can care for him properly and is afraid he is going to die.
Is there anybody who can help?
