Hi guys,
We got a adult male red foot off our friend about 2 weeks ago as he could no longer house him.
Being new to tortoises we done the basic research beforehand and picked him up along with his vivarium.
After speaking to a few professionals and reading abit online we realised he hadn't been being looked after correctly. So any advice anyone cam give would be greatly appreciated.
The vivarium is 1.5ftx5.5ft is this big enough for a redfoot?
Changes we have made so far are,
Adding of a UV light that it didn't have before
Fitting a new and better ceramic heater
Building a hide for him so he can shelter when he needs to
Changing his water pool to something shallower and more easily accessible.
Any other ideas of things we can do to start trying to improve his health, I've added some pics of him and his home.
Thanks
