Nala came right up to me this morning! This is pretty exciting. I have only had her about a week. And have been letting her adjust to her new life, but the past two days she has been walking right up to me to check me out. Don't mind the mazuri mustache and little bit of calcium powder/cuttle bone (not sure which since I lightly sprinkle her breakfast this morning) on her nose.

She is about 6 1/2 - 7 inches. It was hard to get an exact measurement with a ruler, can't find my measuring tape. And I haven't weighed her yet.

Put the ruler up against the wall at a right angle, then put the tortoise either on the ruler or next to it. That's how you get a SCL (straight center line or straight carapace length) measurement.

Nope, not totally sure it is a she. The previous owner thought she was. I haven't investigated yet. I have been trying to be hands off while she settles in.
