Need info about store bought plants

Wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions for me? I am wanting to plant some succulents in my tortoises home but everything I read says that even if I buy them from stores it can take over a year for any pesticides to grow out of the plants, so I’m trying to find where can I buy these plants without worrying about pesticides?

I buy a lot of roots/cuttings off sellers on eBay. Just message them beforehand and see if they use pesticides.
