I just received two forstenii hatchlings from Benjamin this morning. They are a temperature sexed 1.1 pair. They are such chunky monkeys and I could not be happier!
Awesome. Ben is a fantastic guy. I've gotten quite a few from him as well. The light one is awesome. Make sure to keep the numbers and find a unique ID for each one of them. They will change drastically in appearance obverse the years.
They look great. They also will soon show you they'd kill for more mulberry (looks like those are mulberry leaves). Hope to see more images as time goes on.
The blonde one is nice! Too bad that color will change as it grows. I do have one that has kept an intense yellow as well as a couple that have a nice orange color still. Those animals are 1-5yrs of age now.
That would be interesting if she kept that color. Do you have any photos of those that kept their colors? I would love to see them. Your success and accomplishments with forstenii are absolutely amazing!
Hey @Benjamin, are either of these offspring from Molly? If so, I'd love to tell Michaela that story.
I am very proud to know Ben and am fortunate to have had the opportunity to watch, from a distance, what he has been able to do with forstenii. It really is a species in need of such champions, and all chelonians should be so lucky to have people like him on their side. I've learned a lot about who I want to be by seeing who Ben is..
Here's some updated photos of the pair. They are doing very well. The darker one especially is putting on some nice growth. So far they are doing well together. Occasionally the smaller one will ram the larger one.
