Yes, I planted a hibiscus tree but is still small.

I would add some more hibiscus, space them out so it creates a canopy when they are dense in foliage,(creating dappled shade) but doesnt take up ground space.
Also could you grow weeds and clover for your tort to eat at will through the day.

Great looking outdoor setup! I might stick the water under one of those plants to shade it a little.

Beautiful redfoot you have there, nice smooth growth!
