Very clever. Is it heated or do you not need heat?
I currently have a small electric fan in both dog houses that run on a timer from about 10 A.M. to about 6 P.M.
during the winter the same timer runs simple heat lamps, but below 50 degrees I bring them all inside my enclosed patio.
Here the issue is really too much heat during the day.
the cold is only an issue maybe 3 times a year.
The compost box is also ventilated. I'm not sure if that is clear in the photo. I found it at "Big Lots" on clearance for $20.

I'm going back out to try and locate a second identical box and then get my other, larger true dog house also out of the pen. I'll move it into my "bachelor pad" pen.

Cool idea! I'm adding this to my list for the future when my guys stay outside full time.

It's a no brainer, but it didn't occur to me until recently.....
haha...well you're one step ahead of me because it probably never would've occurred to me had I not happened across this thread. Creativity is not a strong point of mine.
