Hi everyone! Name is Jenn, I live in western Massachusetts. I have not purchased a tortoise yet, I wanted to make sure I had his enclosure ready for him before he arrived, and this will be my first reptile pet. I have been doing my research and I would like advice on where I could safely purchase a healthy male Russian tortoise? and what kind of plants should I plant in his indoor enclosure?
Thank you!

Welcome to the forum! Glad to hear you are researching then buying. Many people do it the other way around.

Welcome! I like to find reputable breeder around me. I get worried about the whole shipping thing. But if that's not an option some people on here do ship healthy tortoises.

I haven't found or heard of any breeders in my area (western Ma)

Welcome. Im not sure of that area as im very very far away. I will have some up for adoption in a few months. They are sub-adult males.
