Question about an indoor cage for a Russian Tortoise
Okay, so I am thinking of getting a russian tortoise, and I am not sure what to do for his indoor enclosure. First off, I know the best things are tortoise tables, but the problem is, I have cats, one of which can open the door to the room where I would keep the tortoise. I have a small house, and that is the only room he would be able to stay in while he is indoors (which will be neccessary as it can get cold here). Also, I know aquariums are not suitable because there is not enough ventilation. But, I have this cage from my late hedgehog that is very large and is wire with a plastic bottom. The plastic on the bottom also covers maybe eight inches up the sides. I was curious, would this be a suitable cage for a RT? Thanks!
