I'm a curious person, and I love to learn about tortoises. Does anyone know how well can they see in the dark? Are any species active during the night? I know that some box turtles are active before dawn. I assume indoors, some tortoises get caught out when the lights turn off suddenly, although my lazy Russian is usually asleep by then. I guess some aquatic turtles are probably active when it's dark underwater. I actually remember hearing that one sulcata owner had issues when his sulcatas came out on a full moon night, thinking it was day, and then dying because of the cold.
