So due to our bad weather here in Texas and the energy crisis we weren’t able to soak Creeper for a week. He is only about 5-6 months old. I’m already noticing a couple minor issues. The start of some very minor pyramiding, and the urates are very chalky. I have him soaking now and am able to get back on routine, but are there any specific steps I need to take? We were able to keep him warm but the ambient temps were too low to risk soaking and we didn’t want a sick baby Sulcata.

Glad to hear that things are on the upswing there in Texas. I doubt that any pyramiding would start because you didn't soak for a week. Just get everything back to snuff, proper temps, humidity levels & daily warm water soaks.

If you were not able to provide heat, id bump up temps for awhile make sure your guy doesn't get an URI.

Good luck.

Most of the hatchlings in the world barely get soaked once a week, if at all. That is a terrible fact, but your baby should be totally fine as long as you are now going back to soaking daily.

Thanks guys! Just making sure I don’t need to do anything extra to get him back to where he was. Luckily we only lost power one day and still had hot water in our water heater, so I was able to use that to keep temps up in the enclosure. Lowest they were getting was 65 overnight.
