I like Yvonne's thought. Could she be deaf? Have you noticed if she can hear or not?
You can try tin foil on items you don't want her on. Maybe a water spray bottle? Can of rocks to shake loudly at her when she is doing something wrong.
I have never had a cat get on counters or tables. I don't know why though. Seems most people have trouble with that.
This is my first cat like this...She is the same as my mother, selectively deaf

My elderly dog absolutely "pretends" to be deaf and or blind sometimes. But i notice if we are out for a walk he has no problem seeing a cat all the way across the street, or a squirrel in the back yard, or hears the treat jar opening. Good luck with her, she's a beauty!

Heck, you don't have to be a dog or cat to use this ploy.

I use my appearance all the time as cover. No one says crap to an old person....we can get away with looking like we made an innocent mistake when we get caught doing something we shouldn't.

You are not, and do not look like an old person -after all, we have seen your wedding photos, so we know for sure. I would describe you as "timeless" !!!

To further deviate from cats to humans just for a moment. Yes, Jeff. I do my "Nutty, confused little Old Lady" Act when it's appropriate...like when there's no Senior Citizen line at the Tax Office, or when driving through a four way intersection that has no traffic signals...lol...I get through real quick and easy every time!
