I plan on building an out door enclosure for my two box turtles. I want to build a pond into it. How deep can I make this pond? Can it be deeper in the middle as long as I make a shallow end for them to walk in? I don't know if they swim or just walk in the water. I would like to make a deeper end to maybe keep some coy in. And, have a small fountain in.
Thanks

I wouldn't make it terribly deep. Gradually shallow edges are a great idea. In regards to depth, my ponds for native boxes only go to about 6 or 7 inches deep.
