So our new dog damaged my old enclosure by climbing on top of it and his weight pulled off the protective mesh. Rather than going out and buying heavier duty mesh and a better method of attaching it I did away with the whole enclosure, recycled the sides, relocated some existing fencing around my turtle pond and made it bigger. It's still relatively small at approx 14' x 11' but my leopard is still hand sized.

Now at the moment it looks a mess and I'm after some suggestion as to what I can do with it so that it functions as a leopard enclosure but also doesn't look like a piece of wasteland.

The taller stuff towards the center is a mix of weed and grass seeds sold for tortoises.

My first question is; has the dog been prohibited from that tortoise area now?

I would have to second Masin, very nice area, add some plants/shrubs and such for looks and function and perhaps a nice hide and you will be set...perhaps you will want to also trim down the tall grazing items as they are usually tastier when groomed...:D

Very nice enclosure! I do agree with Angela and that you should add some plants/shrubs but you dont want to add too many or it may be hard to find your leopard. Its sometimes extremely hard to find some of my adults and they are all at least 10 inches SCL. How big is your leopard?

:p

Ha ha thats when you know its getting late. :)

But if he is hand sized I wouldnt overdue it on the plants because it could be an absolute pain to find him.

The dog can't get through or over the fencing I've used so that part is sorted. I'll have a look at what safe shrubs I could plant and trim it all down. Also a new hide.

I'll measure him later but like I say I can still hold him in one hand so he's still very small.

Is there a picture thread of leopard only outdoor enclosures on here that I could get ideas from?
