Thanks everyone! Keep the error reports coming in please! I think I've temporarily fixed the max connections problem.

We're outgrowing our server AGAIN though! It's a good problem to have but also a costly one. Maybe we should do a donation drive or something! A car wash? TFO Yard Sale?

A raffle? Forum sponsors (or even members) could donate items to be raffled. I think it might generate more interest than just a donation drive.

Also, Josh, Maybe you should add a "donation" link on the top of the forum as well as the bottom.

There already is one at the bottom left.

I don't think that the member see it! I know that it is there. I have donated to the forum in the past. And just did today. ~C

I think I read what you wrote differently than what you meant but it ended up bringing attention to the donate button so even better.

Here I thought it was just my computer this am. Google Chrome would not let me on, no matter what I did. Finally I got lucky, but then after a few threads, I lost the site again. Went back into Firefox and that worked, but slowly. When I came back this time, I got in okay.

I know it costs money My husband used to run a gaming forum. The donations through paypal really helped.

Yes I had a problem this a.m. And yes, also slow yesterday. This is on my iPad. However, I could search and go on other sites. I was having TFO withdraws, not a good thing to see

Issues all morning. It seems like things will work great for about 20 minutes, then it will go down for 20 minutes. I've tried using chrome and IE.

Yep, me too. I've had trouble logging onto TFO, on and off, since yesterday and into this morning.

My connection was really slowwwwwwww this morning. Tried to refresh because it took so long. On another note....since I changed my password I can never get on without typing in the new password every time, even though it is checked "remember me."

Thank you for your continued patience everyone. We are migrating to a new dedicated machine with much better hardware. Things should be a little shaky today during the move but we should be good to go by the end of the day!

SamB, I'm right next door to you in Redlands! Maybe one day we can meet up so you can school me on server optimization. Beer's on me.

I laughed really hard when I was doing some investigating into the servers IP and what-not and some of your info came up. Redlands? I couldn't believe how close you are. Just too cool.

But yes, please let me know, happy to help with time, optimization, virtualizing, whatever you may need.

Oooooooooooh now that is very very nice. Funny thing is I have to go over to one of my clients (Dinosaur Tires in Yucaipa) and discuss their server upgrade and the above is pretty much what I was going to recommend LOL

Are you running a Windows or Linux environment?

I only ask because it seems the software these buisness' are using they all want Win2k8 so I havent touch any form of *nix in awhile

STILL PROBS GETTING ON, ANYONE ELSE

I couldn't get on again this a.m. Now I am still having problems. TFO site loads slow and then the next time won't open at all. Anyone else still having problems? I am on a iPad, don't know if it's only an iPad problem or not. I can get to other sites, just having problems with TFO
JOSH, do you know anything about this. I have been on oxygen all day trying to control my TFO fix that I couldn't fill, HELP
