garden snails. Is that okay?

We usually put a pie tin filled with beer out in the gardens and on the grass (after Ralph goes to bed at night). The snails flock to the beer and drown. We just dump them in the trash after that. I'm not one for putting toxic snail bait out. But sometimes there are a few that just hang around Ralph's enclosure. He was crunching on a few the other day and I'm just curious about them. Does that mean he's lacking something in his diet?

No...they love 'em, like some folks love escargot...once-in-awhile isn't a BAD thing...even though I try to deter it...never know where they've been.;)

Snail shells are a good source of calcium, so probably looking for more calcium. You might try a dish of oyster shells (the kind they use for chickens).
