You have made a valiant effort, but, as others will soon tell you, it is not going to be what your tortoise needs to have a healthy and happy life.

The first order of business would be to get a cover over it to hold in the humidity. @Littleredfootbigredheart has many photos of various ways to do that as well as instructions on proper lighting and water bowls, etc.

it’s really is a lovely area and a nice size for a baby, but I have to ask, what changes have been made since this photo here other than a bit of a move around?

The bulb position looks different?

I’d get the domes mounted safer and off the clamp, those clamps have fell into tortoise set ups many times and are an accident waiting to happen.
Did you have a look into the t5 uvb? I’m curious what bulbs you have in your domes? The uvb bulb shouldn’t be a regular screw in kind.

I’m also still seeing beech wood chips? Those will mould with the humidity your baby desperately needs, if continuing to be housed in an open to much longer, he will inevitably pyramid. Stick to just coco coir.

I’d definitely suggest giving this housing thread a read if you didn’t, being from the uk too a lot of my equipment examples reflect that, hopefully making it easier to find the exact stuff you need! This thread covers correct equipment(uvb, heating bulbs, lighting etc), correct levels, importance of a closed chamber for younger tortoises(only way to maintain the humidity you need), appropriately maintaining the humidity, safe substrates, there’s lots of visual examples for everything, and a really handy diet link to check out! If going with a greenhouse, the lower the ceiling height, whilst still allowing for recommended bulb height, the better! But I’ll add some more ideas below for the current set up

This includes some different closed chamber options, some work better than other but perhaps some of the topper ideas will inspire an idea for your current one! Skim all through the comments too for more examples!

Lastly, this one is probably most important to keep on hand! it’ll help you avoid the wrong bulbs, substrates, housing etc, I always encourage double checking purchases on the forum too before buying, this expands more on the points above😊

Hope they help! I’d make priority looking into some sort of cover, then fixing the uvb🐢💚
