I'm assuming they can get a little backed up just like we can, so the watery foods should help. Try iceberg lettuce as well. It's not something to feed regularly, but as a helping hand to get the bowels moving, it's fine. My understanding is that the reason iceberg lettuce is a no-no is because of the high water content and lack of sufficient nutrients. I could be wrong.
