Hi all. My turtle is about 7 months old and 4 inches big. She's growing pretty quickly, but I noticed this on her stomach. I'm not sure if it's shell rot or her growing. Can someone give me advice? I think I'm going to take her to the vet if it doesn't go away in a week, but I wanted to get other opinions. It's on her belly, but I included photos of the top of her shell too. She doesn't have any spots on top, just on her belly. Thank you in advance!

That is definitely not shell rot. It is rub marks from probably a basking surface she slide off of back into the water. It could be from scrapes while digging through substrate in the tank as well. IN any case, nothing to worry about other than being sure you don't have something too abrasive as a basking dock.

Thank you. I figured, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
