It is with the deepest sorrow that I have ever known that I share the loss of our precious and beloved Reggie on September 17th. My heart does not permit me to go into details but xrays showed there was no remedy. If love were the necessary answer, he would have lived all of his expected 100 years and more. My extreme gratitude to everyone on the Forum who helped us over the years we enjoyed him. You are an amazing group of people and I wish every one of you the very best.

It might be very helpful to other owners to know exactly what it was that showed up on the X-rays for which there "was no remedy".

Perhaps when you get over the initial shock, you can enlighten us as to exactly what killed the animal. It might prevent other tortoises and owners from suffering the same fate.
