12 hour shifts, and I don't have a lot of interaction with RV when I'm working. Its literally get up, go to work, come home, sleep, repeat 3 nights in a row. When I'm home and awake I'm pushing to get chores done, and if RV isn't out, and I don't see her, of course I get concerned. I haven't seen her all weekend... This evening I found tort turds maybe 2 days old but nothing fresher. walked the perimeter of the yard, all looked well. I set the sprinkler out, lightly watered the front of her den and called her name. 5 minutes later she is out munching grass, seemingly to say
"....... what?".

relief.

I know its hot out and she's likely to be in her den, but for the last week she's been on the patio hiding behind stuff in the shade. And with feral kitties (who I've seen RV push around) I worry just a little. My imagination.

So here is her best non nonchalant face.

Of course, asking for more cactus pads.

thank you Jennifer.

I went outside to check on her (had a mud pit going under the lemon tree but she didn't partake of a mud bath.. so I flipped her to get an image of her plastron. Short stubby tail. Also got a pic of her asking -
HEY! when are you gonna flip me back over.. ??
She looks rather collected upside down, but needless to say that when I did put her right side up again, I was not her fav anymore. Hope she forgives me..

Are you a nurse? I can't believe that you have a female Sulcata. I think she's the first one that I've seen on here. Wow. :D

She is absolutely gorgeous. Great shell! I would be very proud of myself if she was mine, lol.
