This is great! I'd love to have some Chaco tortoises, but I never see them come up for sale, and, naturally, they are never for sale online or in the stores.

Please clear something up for me...I thought "ova/ovum" was another word for the follicle inside the tortoise and once it had been expelled it was considered an egg. Baoh always used 'ova' too, and, of course, I never felt comfortable asking him about it.

I will get some more pics of them for sure. Ova is the egg yes. Which is from a follicule, made in the ovaduct then expelled. Its technically a protein(the shell is) I believe surrounding the gamyte, which then develops all the other biological stuff inside(could get very detailed) then the tort develops. Good thing bringing that up Yvonne. I think a thread on that should be started.
